Golf Day to raise awareness of injured jockeys

AS part of Jockey Celebration Day this year the National Jockeys Trust is staging a golf tournament at Kingston Beach Golf Club south of Hobart on March 15.

It is an Ambrose competition and comprises teams of four.

Loads of prizes are on offer with prize sponsors including Bill Casimity of Glenayr Wines, Man O Ross Hotel, Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel, Australian Super, Drummond Golf Hobart and The TOTE.

The National Jockey Trust exists to provide financial support to jockeys and their families in times of hardship due to injury or death from a riding fall or other unavoidable circumstances that have led to hardship.

Cost is $49 per player and includes lunch with tee-off set for a 10am shotgun start.
